About
A Bit of Background
Here at Give Me Roots, we are driven by a single goal; to see a need and sow a seed. The life of our organization is solely dependent on community involvement. We encourage people of all walks of life and of every age to come and take part of the growth within the community.

MENTOR
The Mentor initiative is a gathering of men who serve as role models throughout the community. This program is designed to strengthen the lives of children, young men and women through positive influence. Mentor also serves as a support group to single parent homes to encourage balance and healthy family values. Our program provides a safe space for men to collaborate on ideas and gain meaningful insight enabling men to unlock their hidden potential. Our goal is to impact the lives of both young and old creating a bridge that leads to a stronger and brighter future. We are MEN Taking On Responsibility.
Bougie Tuesday’s
Today, decency and good moral character are disproportionately undervalued in the lives of youth and young adults. It is with this cause in mind that we have developed a system of etiquette training that promotes healthy living and appetite. Bougie Tuesday’s is designed to teach children and families how to create fun, simple and cost-effective meals. With each meal we incorporate basic etiquette training in four keys areas:
Social etiquette- proper dress and language used in social settings (general public).
Meal or Dinner etiquette- learning table manners and the art of service.
Business etiquette- for teens and young adult entering the workplace.
Personal etiquette- self-respect and hygiene
“The hardest job kids face today is learning good manners without seeing any.”
Fred Astaire
Homeless Outreach
With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. Learn more about our work by getting in touch with our team today.
"Some [seed] fell on rocky places where it did not have much soil and grew quickly because the soil was shallow. But, when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root".
